Functional/ Dysfuctional Family

I would say that a functional family is one where one or both parents are working to earn money. They have their children under control and there children are well disciplined. I think that a dysfuctional family is one where there is chaos going on all the time. Nothing is in order, there is no rules or guidelines being given. I can definately see how some familys could be a little of both. I think that this would all depend on what a certain persons belief on functional and dysfuctional family is, everyone has a different outlook on it.

Envied lifestyle/ Life experiences

I guess I can say I sort of envy the rich just because it seems like they are able to have so much more things and be able to do so much more. I think sometimes we think that " if we only had the money to do such a thing" sometimes I would think being rich would get old though, I mean if you have all the money in the world you still aren't necessarily happy though. I think that for the money side of things you would definately be happy but if you weren't happy in life in general then it would not matter whether you had a lot of money or not. That is just my personal opinion on it, Im sure everyone has a different opinion on this issue. I can't honestly say that i envy any of my friends though.

Social Networking/ Facebook

I guess when I think of Social networking, the first thing that comes to mind is definately Facebook. I use facebook atleast on a weekly basis. I found that facebook is really easy to communicate on and I have found old friends from California, which is where I am originally from on there. We can talk on there and catch up on years of news. I think that a lot of people have turned to social networking because it is a lot easier then talking on the phone. A lot of people don't enjoy talking on the phone so this is a way they are able to talk to friends and family members without taking up minutes and having to stop what you are doing to talk on the phone. I found I can do way more things while on the computer then I can on the phone. I can't concentrate as well on the phone as I can on the computer. I am sure a lot of people feel the same way I do about social networking.

My Daughter Haley

Well since we were able to write about whatever we wanted I figured I would write about my daughter. My daughter is 14 months old and a little rascal! She is in to everything. As a normal 14 month old would be. She has never really been attached to any kind of blanket or stuff animal until my grandpa bought her this cute little stuff animal puppy and for some reason that is her favorite. I just love it when you tell her " where's your puppy?" she will go looking for it and when she finds it she gives it a big hug and kiss. Her other favorite thing would be her daddy. When he comes home from work she gets so excited and starts saying " dada, dada." Being a parent is such a wonderful and rewarding experience! : ]

My Great Grandma

When i start to think about my great grandma Christine, I always remember walking in to her house and remembering smelling that distinct smell. It always had what I used to call an " old people smell" to it, I remember her always telling  me these stories about when she was a kid and how they didn't have washers and dryers instead they had what they called wash boards. She would have to stand outside with a bucket of water and start scrubbing. My great grandma came from a very large family. Her parents were farmers so all her brothers were stuck farming with dad and the girls had to clean and cook inside. It sure is crazy how from generation to generation things can change.

" Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die tomorrow"

One of my favorite Quotes is " Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die tomorrow". This quote is so inspirationally to me because it's so true. I try to live everyday like it's my last, because you honestly never know when you wont be here tomorrow. I love the part of the quote that says " Dream as if you'll live forever". I think that i try to do that all the time. I feel like sometimes society doesn't appreciate life like they should. Sometimes our dreams for the future are so far fetched but I think that there is no reason that you can not dream anyways and why not live like you wont be here tomorrow, dont hold grudges on people try not to make your days the best. I just think some of us need to realize that you don't live forever and that you need to make the best of it while you are here.  

Education!

Education to me is something that has been pounded in my brain, as a young child i lived with my grandparents and I remember them always telling me, " If you want to go anywhere in life Ashley, your going to have to go to college and get something behind you". I trully believe that is true now days especially, If you look in the newspapers all you see is jobs either that want a college degree or some type of training. I have always done pretty good in school so college wasn't something that scared me. I just think of it the sooner i get it done the sooner i will have my degree!
